Spring 2014

Late April to Mid May

May. The newborn leaves on every plant are tender-fresh. Fruit trees and shrubs are in full bloom. Woodland flowers never fail to surprise and delight, no matter that I've seen them so many times before. The annual reunion with these much-loved friends is a ritual I would never choose to miss. Nor would I choose not to plants seeds in this newly warmed earth. It is a routine that it is anything and everything but.

Early April--Sprouts Aplenty

While the trees are still bare, the grass is mainly brown, and I've only seen coltsfoot and hepatica blooming in the woods, there's enough sprouting in our seed trays to convince me Spring is here at last.
