Winter Season Eggs & Whole Chickens
Many of you have asked about the availability of eggs and whole chickens this winter. We have both at the hub on Third Avenue in Marlinton and at Steve's farm between Huntersville and Minnehaha Springs.  Email or call Steve at 304-799-6915 to schedule a pick-up. Once we have several bi-weekly or monthly takers, we're open to establishing regular times to be at the hub in Marlinton during the next three months. Please let us know how we can best serve you!

Seed Time
Fellow gardeners! Don't we love this fallow time? Pouring over seed catalogs. Making lists. Planning, planning, planning. Yes! Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, my mind is so happy to be elsewhere. December 26 arrives and I awake feeling The Itch. The anticipation of spring returns. And with it the hope that attends every winter. The hope that this growing season will be better than ever.
While I'm leafing through catalogs, I thought I'd share a select few of my favorite suppliers: (Their print catalog is worth getting simply as reading material!)
Happy imagining the gardens of your dreams!
A Blessing for the New Year
by John O'Donohue

On the day when
The weight deadens
On your shoulders
And you stumble,
May the clay dance
To balance you.
And when your eyes
Freeze behind
The gray window
And the ghost of loss
Gets into you,
May a flock of colors,
Indigo, red, green
And azure blue,
Come to awaken in you
A meadow of delight.
